of Statutory Law was presented to Congress “in
which the law on Children and Adolescents
is promulgated”, a proposal that
prioritizes eight basic themes: Nutrition,
Education, Sexual and Reproductive Health,
Special Protection, Civil Registration,
Maternal Mortality, Infant Mortality,
and Water and Sanitation. Based on what

Book launching
Nacido para Triunfar (“Born to Win”)
Testimony of an adolescent demobilized from an
illegal armed group
Bogotá, April 29, 2008 – The University
of Caldas and the United Nations Children’s
Fund (UNICEF), are launching the book Nacido para
Triunfar, written by a youth demobilized from
an illegal armed group. It tells the story of
his life, his experience within the group and
the way he has been supported in creating his
current life project.

with the decided support of the United Nations
represented by the Pan American Health Organization

adults – during the Sixth Vaccination Week
in the Americas 2008, between April 19 and 26.
